I took guitar class in hs and I enjoyed it and some piano lessons when I was YOUNG but vis art n story telling were def my main thing.

The act of being changed—the idea of becoming a bigger, broader human being in result—was "enjoyable", but the art itself? Often wildly uncomfortable, difficult to parse and/or unpack in my head. I would *not* have changed, if it had *not* been painful and difficult to process it and internalize it.

I understand that puts me into a weird minority, but when reflecting on the works of art that have challenged me, altered my shape as a human, made me question the validity a deep-seated belief, or required me to have empathy for someone/thing I would not have, none of those were "enjoyable"

Totally agree with Freya. is possible to create "art" with AI... maybe? I haven't seen it yet, but I'm not going to discount that it *could* exist. However, even asking the question "why can you not just enjoy AI art?" really illuminates the problem for me: I don't engage with art to "enjoy" it.
