Getting back into a Percy Jackson mood after seeing the actors revealed for Artemis and Apollo. Keen makes a good Goddess of the Hunt, but why did they go with such a space looking suit? As for Apollo, I'm a little bummed that the Yung Gravy rumors were a bust, but I wish the new guy luck.

Yeah this was Artemis as Wonder Woman as DC was in midst of replacing the trinity with edgier variants. The rando in the middle seems to be the only real member of Primal Force

I don't know, that Wonder Woman could be Artemis.

You're Barnaby Dean, sentenced to a stretch upon the rack for your pact with the Star of Artemis (flattery) and cogitating upon the heresies of the Problemata (mechanics) while in edifying employ, in Leicester, as a Messenger (rumour). Favoured with influence to Flurry.

Swap The Martian for Artemis and I'm right there with you, the singular most forgettable book I've ever read.

I don't know what he's done now, but despite my love of the Martian and Project Hail Mary, I'm well aware he's also the guy who wrote Artemis... not super excited to see whatever it is he's done now.

I knew he was going to fuck up the Artemis program. He met exactly 0 project milestones, yet took 2/3rds of the contract draw.

His design would never have worked, and would possibly/likely have stranded the crew.

SpaceX is desperately far behind in its Artemis obligations. It’s very doubtful it could ever complete the propellant transfer requirements or achieve reusability, never mind rapid reusability. Musk has known that for years. But there was an important IPO to get out the door.

Happy 65 Years: NASA’s Johnson Space Center Then and Now
Sixty-five years ago, the vision of sending humans to the moon was nothing more than a sketch on a napkin in Washington, but in Houston, that vision began to take physical form.

Where did the idea of Moon Joy come from?

NASA's Strategic Communications Lead Rachel Barry discusses how "Moon Joy" was coined by Angela Garcia, one of the lunar science officers in mission control after hearing the NASA Artemis crew get excited about their first look at the moon.

Happy 65 Years: NASA's Johnson Space Center Then and Now - NASA (.gov)
Sixty-five years ago, a bold vision took root in Houston: a NASA center dedicated to human spaceflight. Since its founding, NASA’s Johnson Space Center has helped lead the nation’s human spaceflight program, supporting missions from Project Mercury through Artemis. Today, Johnson serves as NASA’s Center of Excellence for Human Spaceflight, and its workforce is helping to usher in a Golden Age of innovation and discovery. Johnson is home to America’s astronaut corps, the Mission Control Center, and the teams behind some of humanity’s greatest achievements in space. As NASA’s human spaceflight programs evolve, Johnson remains at the forefront of these efforts. Houston is home to NASA’s Low Earth Orbit Program, comprising International Space Station operations and commercial partnerships and destinations in low Earth orbit. For missions beyond low Earth orbit, Johnson houses the Moon Base Program and Orion Program, while NASA’s Human Health and Performance Directorate and Human Research Program work to protect crew health and performance as missions extend farther from Earth. On May 25, 1961, the center’s story began when President John F. Kennedy gave a speech before a joint session of Congress, committing the nation to achieve the goal of landing a man on the Moon and...

For the PM crowd!

At its core, Such Sweet Sorrow is about grief and navigating dysfunctional family dynamics.

On the surface, you get chilling ghosts and strange happenings. Plus, comedy relief in the form of a rambunctious kitten.
