arthurian claim
So my theory is that the legends were inspired by Constantine III. I'm sure I'm not the first to come up with this idea, but I've never actually seen it anywhere.

One of my favourite Arthurian things is when King Mark of Cornwall is traveling in disguise and every knight he runs into starts going off about what a piece of shit King Mark is, and he just has to be like "haha yeah..."

i just walked past a benedictine monk, an arthurian knight, and a frog

At the end of the day, this is the best Arthurian film and it isn’t particularly close

I'd recommend these as good overviews:
"The Oxford Guide to Arthurian Literature and Legend" by Alan Lupack (I have the 2007 edition) and
"The Cambridge Companion to the Arthurian Legend" edited by Elizabeth Archibald & AD Putter (2009)

Own thing. Arthurian lore is part of DC continuity, but Camelot 3000 isn’t connected to that.

Have you played Dux Bellorum? Author of this classic wargame, Daniel Mersey, returns to the series again next year with the release of Bugles to the West which he's co-authoring with Simon Walker.

Watched Excalibur (1981) for the first time. It's pretty melodramatic with a lot of time skips (it condensed the entire Arthurian legend into 2hrs and 20 minutes), but was beautifully shot.

Arthur the Aardvark tried and failed to teach us that when you're walking down the street everybody that you meet has an original point of view. this is why "The Arthurian Fist" has such an iconic place in culture

No need, mine are from Arthurian & Welsh Mythology and I'm autistic. I'd never forget the one armed warrior Bedwyr, the sharp-tongued Cai or the werewolves Melion and Marrok. To name my favourites.

There's one per story after Of Dina & Dan.

I did not know about this saint and am now falling down a wiki hole and realising she's from the same locations as various arthurian legends, very roughly around historical arthurian times, so brb writing an entire tract in which she was a secret operative of the court of king arthur.

Isn't Arthurian legend steeped in some Roman Britannia stuff anyway

Gigantomachia I, II, III, & IV. Wonder if there's any inspiration for the Arthurian battles with giants.
