More work on my Shaggy Scalycaps. Finished a smaller one, tried to start the upper left, but its angle is messing with my brain. I'll figure it out.

Started adding shading but going to take a break.

The downside of doing the head before the body is the head looks lighter even though I used the same colors.

Guess it's a good thing it's a personal piece. *sighs*

What I managed despite my immense distraction. Pretty pleased with it so far.

Will let it simmer a bit and work on the gourd and remaining leaves Thursday. I hope.

I don't know what it is about my mushroom art, but I enjoy taking my time on it. It relaxes me. And unlike some of my other long term pieces, it always calls me back until done.

Progress on my Shaggy Scalycaps.

The bare outlines of my recreation. I used my original (messed up applying makeup) to get my layout. Now I'm going to my original refs to rework it.

I give myself permission to stray from the original. 😘

Bones down for November!

This one looks a little easier than October's, though looks can be deceiving. All that patterning!

Actual screenshot of a human being (no #AI) painfully coloring in pant legs frame-by-frame… for a living!👖🎨 My behind the scenes of the day, working in #marketing for a #tech company (who would have thought?!).

Minor adjustments to caps done. Now I have to decide which one gets spiked first. Probably the lower left.

I'm struggling with this guy. Don't think I'll finish him, but I'll keep tinkering. He's a challenge. Likely he'll end up being a head shot. 😘

Indian Fig is almost done. Need yo let glue dry before I can shade the fruit.

Speaking of shading: do I need to do more on the cactus itself?

Where I started; where I'm ending today. Already have some "errors" on the left side to think about. My brain sometimes gets lost when there's a lot of detail. I may not have him fully complete by the 28th. 😒

Dragon work: Faber-Castell Polychromos, Kalour Neons, Vanstek Fineliners on Ohuhu Mix Media Paper (probably not the best for colored pencil--no idea how to fight the texture).

Slow and steady. Looks better in rl.

#WhiskerWednesday doesn't have to be just cats. Picking up my dragons today.

I'll work w/pencil and accent w/makeup. I'm not experienced with pencil, but that decision helped me "see" it done. It's for me, so mistakes are no big.
