#political #artistsalon #protestArt “#stevenMiller is a ghoul”, created and destroyed 3/29/26 by me, during live twitch salon.

I’ve decided to create protest art, live each week. And then burn it in effigy, live, on the stream, same day.
Let them burn!
Pencil drawing of Steven miller created and destroyed during live streaming on Twitch.

PSA: This is #ArtistSalon
This image is a quote, black san serif font on white background. Nothing else, juat text Quote. Art in its execution and direction is dependent on the time in which it lives, and artists are creatures of their epoch. The highest art will be that which in its conscious content presents the thousand-fold problems of the day, the art which has been visibly shattered by the explosions of last week, which is forever trying to collect its limbs after yesterday's crash. The best and most extraordinary artists will be those who every hour snatch the tatters of their bodies out of the frenzied cataract of life, who, with bleeding hands and hearts, hold fast to the intelligence of their time. End quote. From Dada co-founder Richard Huelsenbeck. This quote... this is ArtistSalon. We believe life itself is art. So... please... Make good art. Humanity is counting on you. #Dadaism #Dada

"...the avant garde artist plays a very special role, socially as well as psychologically, and that he expresses the conflicts over values of his society rather than the values themselves. The artist formalizes, externalizes, and expresses in emotional terms that which must by necessity be repressed by the group. All social order is based on repression.... It cannot be disputed that connoisseurship, the experience of art, rests at least in part on the process of identification with the artist. But the nature and necessity of that identification for society warrants further explanation. Since the artist's endowment leads to a special experiential knowledge, he endeavors to find new norms and solutions to replace the existing ones. In this sense, the artist must by necessity stand outside the social group. This daring, to stand apart this independence to defy.Existing values is not without implications."
