SO good! Absolutely shocked at how good, actually. I was expecting “very good high school” level, but honestly other than a big shift in Hades vibes (because teenagers) and much simpler set, it was on par with a professional show.

I’ve been missing out, I am definitely going to more youth theatre.

Headshot day at #ArtsUmbrella and I managed to grab a few shots of the youngest kid after he had his session. Cleans up pretty well, he does. #TheatreKid #ArtsUmbrellaTheatre #TheatreYVR #YVRArts
A young man sitting on some concrete stairs. He's wearing a black jacket, black pants, white shirt, blue patterned tie. He has his elbows on his knees, fingers interlaced, and is leaning forward. Head-and-shoulders shot of the same young man in front of a blue/grey corrugated metal wall.

My kid getting some love from his #ArtsUmbrella director. #theatreYVR #theatrekid #theatre
An Instagram photo showing Quinlan in 5 of the 7 roles he's playing in Art Umbrella's production of "Seesaw". The description by @shakespearehipster reads: One of my favourite things is watching a student bite into creating a well rounded and honest character. I love it even more when an actor can do it six times in one show with numerous quick changes. In Seesaw, one actor plays a mum obsessed with her image, a dad stuck to his work phone, a divorced father trying to figure things out (while being a bully), an abusive father, a disembodied voice of a bully, and a Chad. Watching him flip effortlessly between roles is such a treat. Seesaw by Dennis Foon, costumes by Amber Nordstramd, set and props by Charlie Beaver, lights by Gillian Hanemayer, and sound by Matthew MacDonald-Bain. Photos by Javier Stores. Two more chances to see it in Saturday, May 3rd (2 and 7) #theatre #TYA #vancouver #quickchange

Macbeth was *so* good. The next public performances are next Saturday (May 2nd)

An actor (Quinlan as Macbeth) stands facing away from the camera. He is wearing a black jacket. It is dark with a single spot shining from above. In front of him (rear of the stage) a number of shapes are pushing up against a translucent curtain. Some hand and arms and bodies are distinguishable but not clear behind the curtain.

Thanks, @artsumbrella @relicgames, for the info. Can’t make the tour, but will find a way to get the story into the Straight.
