I still think it's a shame they didn't do ASM3, it's okay for a series to have an off film (see Thor), and it made money anyway. I think it was more about wanting to start a new, MCU-compatible series.

No, I do get that, but I just think Spider-Man has been doing that a lot. ASM2 set up a Sinister Six movie in addition to ASM3 and the first two Tom Holland movies seemed to care as much about Iron Man's future as Spidey's.

Not Sam Raimi, and too slick for its own good, but at least Andy brought Peter’s wisecracks.
The second was O. G. F. L. 😱
First the Tom Cruise Mummy-like attempt to set up a Sinister Six ASM3.
Then trying to make the rest of the movie gay (it wasn’t Electo’s FAULT! 😭)
