Nothing wrong with Bracket 1 decks. I have two.
One is my Asmor deck that is themed as the diner Asmor opened after leaving Vincent's service.
The other is Orzov dungeons designed to do dungeons and nothing else.
They're rubbish but loads of fun.

The @rhysticstudies.bsky.social doc on the piece gave such a great perspective on it. I even sought thus version out for my Bracket 1 Asmor...icar deck as it looks sort of like someone cooking.

Asmoranomardicadaistinaculdacar Asmoranomardicadaistinaculdacar or Asmor for short was a wizard and cook from Dominaria. She got stuck in a deal with Vincent (a Lord of the Pit) in which she had to feed him a new dish every single meal or she would be his next dinner. Asmor managed to do so for 7 years after which Vincent allowed her to leave as long as she would collect all her recipes for him. She wrote the “Underworld Cookbook” of which sadly only 2 were sold (to Vincent and her mom)

It fits great mechanically in my Asmor deck. Theme wiseI can get away with it (bracket 1). It has FOOD on it....

But having TMNT on it destroys all that. Different name and art I'd be all over it. But Bracket 1 leaves no room for heroes in halfshells.

i've trucked through with asmor bc i think she's funny and also i like fucking around with large numbers of artifact tokens but i also just. can't stand discard as a cost. i have to LOVE a commander to fuck with that again

Still, yeah, overall, Lorwyn been pretty sweet. Been pointed out how you can get turn one Asmor:

Ghired is my favorite commander, leading the deck i have put most work into.
Asmor is my Bracket 1 narrative deck commander. One of my LGS regulars bought other regulars cards to bulk out an order. They got me a german etched foil Asmor, so I guess I'm known for her.

My stupid bracket 1 Asmoranomordicadaistinaculdacar deck actually got a win this evening.
My Brash Taunter fought his 15 ish power commander, i threw a couple of food at BT for 6 more and swung with Tavern Brawler buffed Asmor plus a couple of rats for lethal.
It was wonderful.

Loot is fluffy, smart and cute. He appears on at least three banger cards I play (one him in a lands deck, Full Throttle in Ghired, Count on luck in Asmor). He is hated for being mid-arc Kellan.

Fleem is weird looking and not appearing on any cardboard because he's just an IP Mask.
