Shhhh! Helping out hikers in one of the toughest spots on the Maryland trail. I’ve heard, for years, how awful this section is because of the rocks. I put reflective tape on these too because of the night time hiking & not so great blazes.

Mountains cold, soggy. Moved out quickly to keep warm. Hiked in clouds all day. Icy patches on the trail.

Climbed Bluff Mountain, temps dropped, winds strengthened. Sky lightened, mist lifted, winds continued. By halfway, sun was breaking through.

This gives you an idea of this section. That little waypoint marker is where I put one of the signs. I hiked down to there from the top. I added about 5 signs going down. Down is #NOBO & up is #SOBO. You can see where I need to add more too. Fun!
