These are one of my favorites, the beyerdynamic dt 990s. I like the bass on them and BTS and Ateez sound great, while also being good for directional sound in video games. They are usually about 219 but you can often find them on sale for less than 200 (like right now)

I would say a nice place to start is a pair of audio technicas (picked according to whether you need a mic or not). This set is 150 and i like them a lot, and you can get cheap velour replacement earpads that are cute. Usually black idk why it’s showing the white ones

These replacement tips have also helped a lot to reduce irritation from prolonged use, while being a bit more grippy than stock tips on either set.
