Day 9 Melancholy

I hate this- all the sadness and melancholy. Sometimes I feel like I'm mourning someone who hasn't even died yet, but I'm not allowed to move on until it finally happens. It's a terrible limbo, but how else am I supposed to feel? She's my mother.

A tired, emotionally drained, and hurt Yasu, brings an abnormally confused and irate Kaede to be seen by her doctors, having become overwhelmed and found herself at a loss for how to deal with this new phase of her mother's mental decline. Kaede meanwhile, yells at the nurses that she wants "Yasuo" to take her home, having forgotten that Yasu transitioned years ago and not recognizing her daughter in her confusion/lapse of memory. Kaede's doctor meanwhile, realizes that she will likely need to broach the subject to Yasu of having professionals take over Kaede's full time care.
