She wiped her eyes and sat up, looking out over the rolling verdant hills dappled with spots of colors from various flowers. Is this what Coerthas was like before the Calamity? That was the thought she wrote down as she pulled out her sightseeing log journal and began scribbling the scene before her. She set out to capture as much of it as she could, as accurately as she could, because this would be the letter she sent to Estinien that night. A drawing, a long blade of grass torn from the ground, and a single request. Tell me about the highlands of your youth.

Turns out....using your skills as a lancer to essentially toss what is a branch at a mere mushroom.... definitely is overkill and not favored by the elementals....oops....

Trying to figure out a good smile that he would be satisfied with, but if nothing else, always use what he learned from the dwarves of the First.

#AuRaAugust Day 8 - Flame

I saw this prompt as a way to show off the differences between Mir and DRK Mir. I feel the positions they chose says a lot about them 🙂↕️

More angles and my references in the replies! ⏬

Mir and DRK Mir are dancing on a pole. Mir is closer to the bottom and has xer right leg sticking up and bent towards the camera to hold xer against the pole. Mir is bent backwards so that xer left hand can grab xer right foot as xer head and right arm are draped back. Mir's left leg is dangling down. DRK Mir is horizontal with xer left claw holding on to the pole. Mir's left leg is bent up and around xer left arm. Xer right leg is bent down and towards the pole so that xer right claw and grab xer right talon. There is orange fire coming from the floor and red fire bursting down from the ceiling behind them.

“Did too!” “Did not!” Emi sighed and tilted her head back against Estinien’s chest, looking up at him from below. “A compelling rebuttal to Éloïse’s claims. She clearly gets her eloquence from you.” He shook slightly behind her with the huff of a chuckle that escaped him; the movement was gentle, in stark contrast to the imposing figure he usually cut. The side of him only his girls - and in a few months more, his son - would get to see, outside of Alphinaud and mayhap Aymeric. “Nay. I will take credit for how naturally she wields the lance, but her words, their words are entirely yours.” Emi let out a huff of her own - pouting, rather than laughter - and folded her arms within his embrace. “I will recall this moment when one of them lets fly a curse in Coerthan and you make to discipline them,” she snarked back to him, grinning proudly.

Hamignant had been the one to see them first. They were playing in the far fields of their lands. Estinien thought it odd the karakul took off running randomly. He thought it even more odd that the forest nearby went silent. And then his little brother - five summers his junior, a boy of only seven - pointed to the horizon and asked him what the dark cloud in the distance was. Estinien squinted and saw the way it moved and got larger. His heart sank and he immediately grabbed Hamignant’s hand and fled towards the woods.
