FWIW, I refer to this as "closing the hardball gap." It's the idea that asymmetric adherence to norms is itself destablizing, and that norm-breaking can/should be done in democracy's defense.

Probably time again to post the best book out there in regards to understanding the psychology of authoritarians and fascists. Bob Altemeyer is a Canadian psychologist who has devoted his career to the topic and I cannot recommend this book enough.

IMO the primary crime is using their wealth and media assets to attack democracy and attempt to install authoritarians. If we don't end this behavior we will lose our democracies.

Publicly praying on social media that the deceased was their President - of various nationalities. Cameroon is in the lead because Biya is 93. A secondary impact of social media is it decimated the hierarchy and respect cultures that create a buffer for authoritarians to extend their rule.
