Dublin based airliner leasing specialist Avolon has agreed the sale of a portfolio of 33 commercial aircraft to Qatar-based Lesha Bank, in a transaction that further strengthens the relationship between the global aviation finance company and the financial institution. Announced on 28th of September, the transaction comprises a diversified portfolio of aircraft currently leased to 25 airlines around the world.

Der Leasingriese Avolon verkauft ein Portfolio aus 33 Verkehrsflugzeugen an die katarische Lesha Bank, wie er am Montag (28. September) mitteilt. Die Flugzeuge sind derzeit an 25 Fluggesellschaften weltweit verleast. Nach Abschluss der Transaktion soll die Flotte von Lesha Aviation Services, einer Tochtergesellschaft der Bank, verwaltet werden. Damit wächst die Zahl der von ihr betreuten Flugzeuge auf mehr als 75. Angaben zu den Flugzeugtypen und zum Kaufpreis machten die Unternehmen nicht. Avolon bezeichnet den Verkauf als Teil der Strategie, Flugzeuge aktiv zu handeln, Kapital freizusetzen und in neue Geschäfte zu investieren.
