Republicans were unhappy with the decision to retire the B83. In the FY23 annual defense bill, they required a study on "hard and deeply buried targets" & for that year prohibited retiring more than 1/4 of the B83s. Which was silly--there was no plan/timeline to retire ANY B83s, just a commitment.

The way Genocide Joe's been operating, he'll ship them some B83s for this.

If a full-scale nuclear strike was ordered, 7 B-2s carrying B83s could destroy entire cities, major infrastructure, and military installations in multiple countries.

112 B83 nuclear warheads, capable of delivering over 130 megatons of destructive power.

• China and Taiwan Sign Peace Agreement.
• Climate terrorist assassinate various AfD politicians citing revenge for Walter Lübcke as a motivation.
• Trump demands that russia agrees to a deal otherwise he'll deliver functional B83s to Ukraine.

"but those poor US soldiers have PTSD! war is bad! they didn't know anything when they signed up!" they voluntarily signed up to pancake the fuck out of peaceful neighbourhoods with B83s. fuck them

I mean. I know we have dial-a-yield stuff that can be configured lower than that. But it's not like we're gonna be able to set off a string of soon-to-be withdrawn B83s to make a big splash and scare the Russkies, like he's probably thinking he wants to do.

Almost every doomsday scenario with nuclear weapons is overhyped, current simulations of a full nuclear exchange between the US and Russia leave ~90 million dead in total in addition to fallout deaths. The 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake was around 368 MT, or half the entire US inventory of B83s.

Like, seriously.

Russia is like the country version of a fucking toddler, throwing a tantrum because it can't get what it wants.

I really wish they'd just trigger NATO article 5 already, so the US can convert Moscow into a glass parking lot via special delivery of a few B83s and B41s.

As I said in another post. Let's also give them some B83s and B42s to place atop those wonderful rockets.

I say we give them a few B83s and B42s, just for good measure.

Make sure we pull the PALs first, or give them the required equipment to arm them.

There is a theoretical loadout arrangement for a B-1B (which would first need to be restored to nuclear-capable status!) allowing it to carry 40 B83s, for a total megatonnage of 48Mt.

However, the max for an Ohio is 91.2 Mt (24 x 8 x 475Kt).
