The exchange now recognizes a portion of the bStock's value, adjusted by a haircut, for margin requirements. This integration makes bStocks more functional within Binance's derivatives infrastructure. Tokenized assets become more versatile when they can be used in different financial products, moving beyond simple trading. However, the feature is subject to regional eligibility and Know Your Customer (KYC) restrictions, meaning it is not universally available. The collateral value is subject to adjustments based on volatility and account settings. Losses in leveraged futures positions can still put the collateral at risk.
