I gave him a copy of Simon Sellars' APPLIED BALLARDIANISM for christmas a cpl of years ago. his response was "Hoo boo. that was a bit intense!"

He's never really read cyberpunk SF, so the jargon may be a bit rough at first, but he's clued up on the occult stuff so.... lets see what happens!

I must say that Applied Ballardianism is a really enjoyable book on its own, so relatable. Still, I know I couldn’t possibly understand everything since I was a total Ballard novice. Ok, lesson learned...

Last spring I read Simon Sellars' Applied Ballardianism without ever having read Ballard. I don't know what I was thinking... then I devoured Crash and Concrete Island in a few days. Dear Lord, what an experience. Truly overwhelming. What should be my next move?
