Several dozen sellers are expected, with offerings including modern and vintage jewelry, clothing, puzzles, home decor, mirrors, framed art, and lamps. Craft tables will feature new handmade items. Shoppers can also pick up baked goods at the club’s concession stand, with bake sale proceeds benefiting local charities. The event is part of a community service tradition that stretches back four decades. The Woodcroft Women’s Club began in 1985 and formally organized in 1986, bringing women together for friendship, social activities, fundraising, and volunteer work. Its membership extends beyond Woodcroft to women from neighborhoods throughout the area. The club’s service efforts include supporting Families Moving Forward and the Durham Crisis Response Center, collecting food and household supplies, and cleaning a section of the American Tobacco Trail. Members also gather for activities such as book discussions, games, and local outings. After debate about account numbers and prior council actions, the board voted unanimously to authorize BIDA to deposit up to $1,432,650 from its Citizens Trust Bank account to the city's designated account to fund the Riverdale replacement ballfields, and asked the city to clarify the GL/account number cited at a recent council meeting.
