anyway I will gracefully accept defeat if I am just an Internet Old but I would like to point out that I got into bandom in 2006 by someone handing me 5,000 fics on a zip drive, lol. some of us did not always have internet!!!

The technical term for what you're doing is called not!fic, it was first documented in the early 2000s as a major mainstay of bandom. Typically it's fic in the style of oration, but it's evolved to those scenarios between pals where it's a series of messages that starts with "what if...?"
