Local executives and police officials from the Police Regional Office-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region (PRO-BAR) are cooperating with the investigation to identify the culprits. Brig. Gen. Ricky Bunayog, acting commander of the Army's 6th Infantry Division, confirmed that officials from the 602nd Infantry Brigade are assisting in the investigation. The Bangsamoro Special Geographic Area, which covers eight towns under BARMM government but located within Cotabato province, has seen a surge in violence against religious figures. The attacks have occurred in the presence of bystanders, highlighting the escalating security concerns in the region. Authorities are working to determine if these incidents are connected to broader criminal or terrorist activities, though no specific group has been identified as responsible. The community remains on high alert as the investigation continues.
