In the latest episode of 'how crap can my life get' I lost my wallet (or had it stolen) in town yesterday, so currently am without bankcards, money, access cards, basically everything, and am trying to rebuild my life one card at a time.

This reminds me of the forum post from an American asking if he can carry a handgun in Berlin, in case he gets mugged in the Tiergarten. Cue a lot of arguing and him being very upset when Germans insisted that having to cancel a couple of bankcards is a much better outcome than killing someone.
Well-meaning Americans in my mentions: kindly do not recommend extremely illegal actions that could land people in the UK with a ten year prison sentence

Saturday night I drove the 80miles home from Heathrow before realising I’d left rucksack in a T5 carpark…Passport,iPad,AirPods,expensive sunglasses,cash,many bankcards etc
Immediately drove back (agonising pitstop to charge car)
And there it was 2hrs later sitting in the carpark space untouched(!)

unfortunately i will not be going to dreamcon this year i had to cancel everything.. this past wednesday a yale surgeon attempted to sexually assault me. i fought back... hard.. broke my phone.. left all my things... backpack. bankcards.. REAL ID... things that would cost to replace

Aren't most bankcards backed by Visa? Contact your banks too!
If you’re a Visa cardholder you can let them know you won’t be any longer if they do business with fElon. I called and they said they’re taking comments at askvisa@visa.com. Maybe if enough of us complain they’ll pull the deal.
