Back on my boxwood recordings today. These boxwood at the Barboursville mansion ruins witnessed the burning of the building so I’m stuffing my guitar with leaves from the plants that lived through that and making music with them. Hoping to set the leaves on fire and record the whole thing tonight.

Very Alexandria dinner.
1/2 Age 25 for this Bordeaux blend from iconic Barboursville. Bright and elegant, it has some obvious mature notes, a backbone still & surprising freshness. More mature nuances come out with air, but this never seems close to over the hill. Complex & mature, not dead or dying
