Incredible. First the LPO gets Paavo Järvi and now the Philharmonia gets Honeck... With the London orchestras already having Vasily Petrenko at the RPO, Pappano at the LSO and Oramo at the BBCSO, this could be painful for my credit card!

Moving back to Mpls after 25 years was one of the best things I've ever done. Not that I didn't know before, but hearing the Minnesota Orchestra on the heels of the LPO, RPO, BBCSO, and LSO over 11 days makes me extremely happy that my hometown band and hall hold their own and then some.
6 concerts by 5 orchestras in
3 cities in 2 countries in 11 days.

Tonight the MN Orch doing Dorothy HOWELL, BRITTEN, and MAHLER.

(It will be my second Mahler 1 in four days.)
