This show really feels like a porn without the porn, and dirty bird barely counted. Because we got Stolis explaining his reasons for being a BDMS slut to Blitzo after the internet already broke it down. Which is fine, it was a really well made scene, but weird that this is what the show is.

Tech billionaire Peter Thiel was the secret buyer of a Bel Air mansion sold at a foreclosure auction for $130M. It's far below the $250M sought in 2023. The estate sits on 8.4 acres with 7 bdms, 20 baths, and a 60' pool. He's using YOUR TAX MONEY that Trump gave to billionaires - instead of to you!

Travelpack promotes Jenny Liu to Head of Trade Sales
Travelpack has promoted Jenny Liu to Head of Trade Sales as part of a strategic leadership restructure led by new Chief Executive Officer Vishal Patel. Previously serving as Business Development Manager (BDM), Jenny's new responsibilities include overseeing the nationwide team of BDMs, driving strategic growth, expanding trade partnerships, and enhancing agency support across the UK. The promotion comes amid a series of structural enhancements at Travelpack to streamline operations, accelerate response times for agents, and scale up B2B support mechanisms, including white-label marketing tools, dedicated webinar series, and enhanced field sales coverage. CEO Vishal Patel said: "As CEO, my priority is optimising Travelpack’s internal structures to ensure we remain the leading trade-focused operator in the UK. Jenny’s promotion is a crucial step in that evolution. Having worked closely with our agent community on the ground, she understands exactly what travel agents need to thrive in today’s market. Biodegradable Mulches: New Insights for Green Farming
Plastic mulch has become an essential tool in modern crop production, helping growers conserve moisture, suppress weeds, regulate soil temperature, and improve yields. However, the widespread use of conventional polyethylene mulch has created a significant environmental challenge: disposal of plastic waste after harvest. A new assessment published by the University of Connecticut provides an updated look at soil-biodegradable plastic mulches (BDMs) and their potential role in creating more sustainable agricultural systems. The review, led by Dr. Shuresh Ghimire, Associate Extension Educator and Vegetable Specialist at University of Connecticut, brings together researchers from Washington State University and the University of Tennessee. It updates a 2017 review by synthesizing new research on BDM feedstocks, material design and additives, field performance, deterioration and biodegradation in soil, residue fate, standards and certification, economics, and requirements for organic production. According to Dr. Ghimire, "Despite decades of generally positive research findings, BDMs still represent less than 1% of the mulch market, while conventional polyethylene mulches account for more than 99%. Growers and agricultural service providers need current, science-based information on BDM performance, degradation, and effects on soil health to make informed decisions about adopting or recommending these materials." The assessment highlights that biodegradable mulches generally provide...

Travelpack hires two new BDMs
Travelpack hires two new BDMs
Travelpack has bolstered its trade team with the appointment of Eleanor Eccles and Sarah Gill as Business Development Managers. Eleanor replaces Zoe Saunders as BDM covering the North West and Wales, while Sarah Gill takes on Michele Lister's former role as BDM for Scotland, the North East, and Yorkshire. Michele moved to Canadian Affair as Travel Trade Executive in August and Zoe is now Assistant Account Manager at LJR Consultancy, according to LinkedIn. Eleanor joins Travelpack from Inspire, where she was Social Media Executive. She previously worked as Travel Trade Support and Marketing Executive at Driveway and Social Media Manager at Travel Republic. Meanwhile, Sarah brings decades of trade experience across independent agencies, homeworking, and road-based BDM roles for specialist car hire and villa operators after starting her career at Lunn Poly. Both new BDMs are immediately available for in-store shop visits, one-to-one meetings (in-person or virtual), team training sessions, and specialised product or destination webinars. Eleanor said: "I’m really excited to have joined Travelpack and to be getting back into a more hands-on, relationship-focused role. Travelpack is such a well-established and respected name with over 40 years of industry experience, so when this opportunity came up, I knew I couldn’t pass it up. I’m particularly excited about getting back out on the road, meeting and reconnecting with travel agents, attending industry events, and showing agent partners exactly how Travelpack can support their business." Sarah said: "I started my travel career straight from school and have worked across independent agencies, homeworking, and on the road as a BDM. I am incredibly excited to join the team and look forward to sharing all things Travelpack with the agents in my region. On a personal note, I have explored Europe and America extensively—though New Zealand holds a special place in my heart—and I can’t wait to bring that passion to my new role." Travelpack CEO Vishal Patel added: "We are absolutely delighted to welcome both Eleanor and Sarah to the Travelpack family. Their wealth of industry experience, genuine passion for the trade, and deep regional knowledge make them fantastic additions to our team. As Travelpack continues its rapid growth across worldwide tailor made holidays as well as in particular the touring, sports, and cruise sectors. Our field sales presence ensures our agent partners receive the direct, hands-on support they need to maximise their sales and grow their businesses with us."
