This Beadbot model's primer went weirdly grainy. It took ages to clean off and it lost some detail. So I pressed on and painted it as a tired bot.

I made a teeny tiny lil Tachikoma from Ghost In The Shell: Stand Alone Complex and an even littler spider dude. I was trying to see how small I could get it, and the second one is just about it. Pennies for scale.

My latest #beadbot most of the #greebles and #bitsandbobs is scrounged rubbish. Took the pictures before the #oilwash was fully dry because I am not convinced it won’t fall of the base. Quite happy with the #weathering and rust effects, might touch it up once it’s dry.

North Wales biotech firm pioneers new robotic system for diagnostic tests
A North Wales biotech firm has pioneered a new robotic dispensing system for diagnostic devices that test for conditions such as cancer. Deeside-based Biofortuna secured £225k SMART Flexible Innovation Support from the Welsh Government, to develop its BeadBot™ system, which is set to help the company achieve international growth ambitions. The project is one of 140 initiatives to receive SMART funding as part of a £20 million programme launched in 2023 to invest in cutting-edge research and innovation that will improve people’s lives. So far £17.9m in innovation grants have been allocated to companies such as Biofortuna, to design and deliver R&D solutions to major challenges facing society.
