I work for a nonprofit and I have to explain to people that a nonprofit still wishes ideally to generate more revenue than expenses, not the other way around. You want to be the kind that makes a cent more than you spend, not the other way around.
I do sommmmmetimes feel like people think nonprofit status is a way to be exempt from making money. It’s nonprofit, not nonrevenue

Ask the folks in Schaumburg what they’ve done in the last 25 years to make their radio systems maintainable by people who haven’t had months of training on TRBO or P25. Radios mean maintenance and that means lots of ongoing costs from PE captured companies like Bearcomm.
