These films have a deep spiritual component that Beasdale doesn’t shy from discussing in Malick’s earlier work. He can’t help but discuss it again with “To the Wonder,” which features a priest character. But he doesn’t seem to want to wrestle with that quality in “Cups.”

Scotscalder to Beasdale alone takes over 14 hours

Another very snowy request stop! Just 230 passengers here last year so less than 1 per day!
Had just over an hour here while the train went to Mallaig and back, and a 37 went past in that time which I wasn’t ready to film ☹️

Random revisit to Beasdale… there’s something about this station I really like. It’s got character, but not too much, just the right amount. I could spend hours here, I did last time! This time though it’s 5 minutes and on to a bus!
