Another WIP, another flesh tone. Barak-nar Burgundy might be my favorite Citadel color, used as the base. For this I glazed with Khorne Red and highlighted with Tuskgor Fur. Bugman's Glow was mixed in for the lips and scars.

I have this itch to someday do a regiment for a feudal death world. Akin to the kind of modern/old mashup you get with steampunk but with lasguns and the bronze age. Like Imperial Guard Beastsnaggas.

Another Crusade game, this time a heavy loss against Tyranids. Looked good going into the WAAAGH turn until I didn’t actually kill anything - that’s pretty much game over for Orks. #warhammer40k #warhammercommunity

I also have the Beastsnagga Combat Patrol and the old T’au one… and playing with them against my brother (him commandeering the Beastsnaggas) I can confirm that Waaagh works… I was literally tabled… but again… I may have gotten distracted by the biggest/scariest looking thing…

I like the Marines, but I was looking forward to the Orks because I wanted new stuff that wasn't the Beastsnaggas and this has hit so many things I like.

The Snaggafication of my Kommandos is well under way. Slasha Boy worked hard for that hide, of course he's going to wear it.
Pay no head to the mold lines. They'll be gone before priming.

Fun Crusade game this afternoon, running the Taktikal Brigade against knights. Didn’t quite have the power to get through their beefed up warlord and win the game but the Orks put a hell of a lot of pressure on them and made them work for it! #warhammer #warhammercommunity

I do love the retro scheme too! I can’t fault you… I‘ve never really collected Orks… not even back in t’day…
…. though I did paint up the Beastsnaggas box (and a few grots) when it released… I liked the ferocious snakebite adjacent aesthetics.

Good point… although… if you make it really pretty and extra bullet-magnety it CAN succesfully make morons like me forget all the points you’re scoring with other units…
