Wait, if I'm a Marxist economist, even a Keynesian, who am I supposed to lunch with in Econ Depts that have expunged every heterodox and institutionalist they ever hired? The ecological economist into contingent valuation, the mathematical behavioralist, the neoliberal market incentivist, another?

We adopted an adorable cockapoo. He disliked men, including me initially. He bit a couple people (including a vet tech in the face) and "protected" our home like a guard dog. Finally when my wife was pregnant we had a dog behavioralist come out, and she said we'd never be able to leave him alone

you can take the stance (which i think is reasonable) that outside of AI rights, questions of interiority are unimportant and the important questions ARE behavioral: can llms invent new technologies, recursively self improve, take over the world, etc. so "thinking" is a behavioralist question

2. Those for whom the deflationary/behavioralist/etc. and other related philosophy of mind views were mere cudgels of "common sense" & an excuse to quell silly questions & get back to "real issues", i.e. ppl who purportedly share the views of this camp but dunked on

I’m looking for a new cat behavioralist and, wow, if you are looking for a career consider this one. The last one I spoke to is booked up until JANUARY.
I do realize I’m opening myself up to ridicule here, but I’m now a person who employs an animal behavioralist. She told me to talk to the cat, and with alarming speed I started roasting him instead.

oh god no they'll enable him i just know it
im taking him to a rabbit behavioralist

A veterinary behaviorist is a vet that also studied behavior. It is a medical degree. There's no such thing as just a behaviorist, behavioralist, behaviourist, or any of the ridiculous variations scammers call themselves.

i was just using that as an example because it's what i'm most familiar with. but it's more than academic background, bc i'm not a trained game theorist, or behavioralist, or an economist. but if that understanding is poor, doesn't it reason that your total understanding is also poor?

Yeah, she has much to learn. Poor kid! She’s lucky have your behavioralist background.

Also, to add the above, there’s no point in trying all that if you and your sister aren’t on the same page.

And there may be better ways to approach this situation. Those are just my ideas.

it looks like what happened is that he read (or "read") one book by a behavioralist about how freudianism isn't true and decided to believe there's no subconscious processes at all

this mf thinks he can be a "ghost behavioralist" when ghosts are like dogs and they just sort of do things arbitrarily

Not a behavioralist. Erika Kirk didn't/doesn't react as a grieving widow. Doesn't dress as one either. Did she ask Trump to have her husband "offed"? She sure gets alot of his attention. Why do so many women in the Trump orbit look-act like high-end call girls/escorts? Self-debasement or greed?

I'm not a behavioralist but it's just something I picked up with experience

They don’t want to educate the working class anymore than needed to pull trigger or put a widget into wahoo on an assembly line. The Behavioralist education of a charter school also lines their pockets.

Indiana is considering dissolving public school districts — including Indianapolis, with almost 50k students.

A GOP proposal says that if more than 50% of students are enrolled outside public schools, that district will be replaced with a charter system.

Indiana Considers Dissolving Public Schools
if more than 50% of eligible students were enrolled outside, that public school district would be dissolved and replaced with a charter system governed by an unelected board.

I have behavioralist biases, and I’m reluctant to say what people are as opposed to what people do. That said: these fuckers are barbarians. They’re doing what barbarians do. And civilized people need to relearn that fighting needs be in the repertoire of those who think they’re civilized people

I'm no scientist nor behavioralist. I suck at math and generally don't get along with "people" all that well.

Here's my extremely unscientific take.

I believe every psychological problem is a physiological problem.

Ah yes, the first time is the toughest.👏🏻🫂 Feel free to ask me for more tips. I was a behavioralist nanny for decades.

SelfDx'd AuDHD - later confirmed by doc when said I might be - his response? 'I thot you already knew, yes' & marked it in my record. 🤣 I guess it's that blatantly obvious but took me 48yrs to see it even tho I was a Behavioralist Nanny for 3 decades. Mom dx ADHD 5yrs before & didn't tell me🙄

I'm no lizard behavioralist, but that seems like a compliment.

idk if you’ve read jens ludwig’s book but it’s … something. very individualist/behavioralist and completely silent to systemic racism/disinvestment
