Why do animals differ in their behaviour? This #BiologyLetters study found greater behavioural variation among outbred crickets than inbred crickets, supporting the standard model of behavioural individuality. doi.org/10.1098/rsbl... | #Behaviour #Ecosystem #Evolution

the cognitive and behavioural sciences to their study. Claiming that “AI is like the Shameplant” is simply confusing the de dicto for the de re at a yet higher level of abstraction.

And then there's "cognitive behavioural therapy"!

None of these address the underlying behavioural manipulation that these features have ended up being used for?

Not gruesome, a typical behavioural image.

Millions of Europeans are still exposed to harmful noise from road traffic, trains and planes. Children are among the most affected, with noise linked to learning difficulties, behavioural issues and even obesity. @eea.europa.eu

The role of introns is just massive 😳! I wish they'd done neuroticism, education, or other more behavioural traits.

Honestly I read that one as someone who's more into the vampire side of the equation. Personally I find werewolf stuff tends to A/B/O dynamics and bad lupine behavioural research.

(exploiting a behavioural bias and information asymmetry like that would probably breach the FCA's Customer Duty :D)

monetary penalties overly penalise the poorest. If you want behavioural changes we need consequences in losing the privilege to drive.

why does there need to be a single genealogy? or do you mean something like their intellectual "inspirations" are derived not from e.g., Victorian eugenics, but specifically from Skinnerian psychology and Kahnemanian behavioural econs?

he wouldn't even care that i myself am ND, i mean it's only in my bio for precisely these sorts of cognitive-behavioural snafus.

it's just some froth he emanated to justify his indifference to an uncomfortable reality.

many billions of such cases.

We limited our scope to the behavioural, cognitive and social sciences for this study, so we cannot speak to other fields directly. That said, it makes us wonder whether this friction is universal or unique to how behavioural researchers operate. What is your intuition?
