Katie Zachari - “I’m a lawyer, I went to Pepperdine Law - I practiced corporate law in Beijing China”.

These are her words.

It’s a crime to hold yourself out as a lawyer in most states - including California - when you’re not licensed.

Ofc we’ve insisted to ourselves we aren’t an empire and done such a bad job of it that the next lot are gonna take the Least Evil title with virtually no effort. Everyone has their money on Beijing but I’m thinking Lagos gets it when the dust settles.

Imagine if we’d just been honest with ourselves

Hmmm, her resume states the following, according to AP:

Served as associate on the International Practice Team at the Zhong Lun Law Firm in Beijing.

More recently, it says she served as *general counsel* for Fix California, a group started by Trump administration official Richard Grenell.

At this stage, Beijing looking like a steadier hand as security partner for Australia. Actually the CIA has already overthrown one government here, so not really news.

Chinese exports jumped 36% year-on-year in September, a bumper figure that is likely to vex the country’s trade partners, who have demanded Beijing address imbalances and alleged domestic overproduction.

I assume a young tall blond woman would stick out like a sore thumb in Beijing, not to mention draw all sorts of attention.

It's funny to imagine having to endure the new Press Secretary complaining about how filthy Beijing is at Great Leap but there's no fucking way her kind would be seen outside of her serviced apartment and select nightclubs in Sanlitun

The Pass By Bar in Beijing. Great mutton pizza. And maybe a career in law.

The result of Beijing subsidising the rest of the world having nice things. Why do they do that? Because it's the only way they can meet their politically mandated growth target without expanding domestic consumption
I spent ages this morning doing my sums on China's September's trade data but kept having to redo them because I thought - surely they can't be right?

China's trade surplus with Germany grew 201.7% in Sept alone (vs Sept 2025)

With EU up 52.3%

With France up 251.8%

Crazy!

Which is a better qualifier? That she worked in Beijing, China, as an associate at Zhong Lun Law Firm or the later worked as a commentator for SpewsMax?
