this is more like humanism, belief in people, as opposed to belief in profits

THANK YOU. KHALESS WEPT THIS IS LITERALLY MY STRONGEST BELIEF.
I'd like to think Three Laws robots would be incapable of doing capitalist work, because they *can't* stand by while humans are harmed. It would ignore any task it's given, because so long as there's injustice in the world, the First Law takes priority and nothing else matters.

I admire the idealism that is the belief it could work and judge the ignorance that means said belief is serious
I'm sorry guns are icky and it feels better to talk, but sometimes nation states just have to shoot someone
The dedication to diplomacy and pacifism is as admirable, as it is something to be kept far away from the actual levers of power.

Sometimes you just have to apply violence to a problem until it complies, and pretending diplomacy can always replace that is just being actively harmful.

Reminder that pumpkins are kosher, contrary to popular belief
I mean I'm not exactly peak Halloween Understander material (I was the type who thought pumpkins are literally not kosher), but still

It's almost beyond belief, especially with his extensive track record of correct predictions
Every single numskull ex-reporter who has been paid off by the AI industry seems to have their knives out for Ed Zitron on Twitter today because he went on The Daily Show's podcast. I don't think it's coordinated, I just think they're all uniformly embarrassed by the same bad hill they're dying on.

70+dems have now campaigned on or voted for anti trans policies. It is a growing belief in the Democratic Party that we shouldn’t vote be second class citizens too, and this fosters that belief.

'There were a lot of people that believed in us and believed in me as well. It started with us believing in each other, and that's so special.'

For Golden State, an unwavering belief in its identity has paid off with a historic first championship. Our @mingemi.bsky.social has more.
The Valkyries believed in who they were and won a WNBA championship | The IX Basketball
The Golden State Valkyries never wavered in their belief that they had what it took to win a WNBA title. That belief paid off Saturday night.
