Independent wrestling star Ben Bishop, known for his towering 7-foot presence, recently shared insights on ways to improve the indie wrestling scene. Speaking to Fox News Digital, Bishop emphasized that the changes needed are mostly small but significant. He highlighted the importance of providing basic necessities such as water for wrestlers and keeping shows under 2.5 hours, allowing fans to enjoy the experience without fatigue. Bishop acknowledged the challenges promoters face, including venue selection, ticket pricing, and operational logistics, but stressed that attending to these small details enhances the overall quality of the shows. He praised Awesome Championship Wrestling (ACW) for setting a high standard, noting their spacious locker rooms, adequate seating, catering, and other amenities that ensure both performers and fans have a positive experience. Bishop also mentioned his support for fellow wrestler Richard Holliday, who recently lost the ACW Heavyweight Championship but will have another opportunity to compete against top-tier talent. Bishop’s comments underline the importance of practical improvements that can make the independent wrestling circuit more professional, enjoyable, and sustainable for both performers and audiences.
