In lighter news, the fence project is done. Looks good and reduces the excessive greetings by Ash the Lab of neighbors. All materials and rental tools moved by cargo bike/trailer.

On a lighter note. Who needs a car? 5 hp power auger, 6 inch auger bit and accessories. Just one cargo bike trailer. Trip was 7 miles out and back. Unfortunately there’s no electric auger to rent.

Who needs a car? Another fence project. That means more lumber. Hailing 3 8’ 4”x4” posts. Not a heavy load but awkward. Spent 15 mins. answering the yardman’s questions about the bike, trailer, lifestyle and economics related to being car free.

Digging back through the builds created at BenBuilt Workshop. Here's an oldie (2019). A Schwinn frame, Burly tow bar and custom body. The top has gone through many iterations, Mylar to light plywood. Good for 200# or 3 Labradors.

Who needs a car? 12 ft of brick molding and 10 ft of casing. No problem.

Not everything at BenBuiltWorkshop is bikes and bike trailers. Restoring a old but serviceable tool is both enjoyable and kind to the budget. A Wilton bullet vise has been on my wish list for a few decades. At the price I got this 3 1/2 inch vise there's usually a busted jaw. This one was sound.

Some more info and photos of the latest bicycle trailer build. This #10 or #13. The frame is from a Burley Nomad. The subframe is 1"x1" cold rolled steel tubing. The corners are parts from Wike Bicycles of Canada. See ALT text for more

Cycling is how I get around, trips to the hardware store, Lumberyard, grocery store, beach etc. Cargo includes 1-3 70# Labradors with toys, towels and high pressure hoses. Schlepping 3 Labs etc required upgrading to a Spicy Curry.

Building bike trailers opens up the imagination. A recent build is a double Stand Up Paddle board mover. The boards are arranged flat in hopes of reducing the effect of cross winds. It tows straight loaded and unloaded in light breezes.
