Griðungur stendur traustur við Vesturland, Bergrisi horfir norður með visku forna fjalla, Dreki sveimar yfir Austurlandi með eld í augum, og Gammur gnæfir yfir suðrið, með skarpt auga og vindsong.

If you're wanting to evoke giants from Norse mythology Jotnar would be a better term.
It's the overall name for them with some specific types being referred to as things like Jotunn, Bergrisi/Bergrisar, Hrimthursar and Eldjotnar.

Marriage Equality – Iceland
Iceland was the 9th country to recognize Marriage Equality on June 27, 2010. The official floral emblem is the Dryas octopetala (mountain avens or white dryad) which I drew using digital brushes. Iceland doesn't have a state motto, so I used their Coat of Arms which has a bull (Griðungur), a rock giant (Bergrisi), a griffin (Gammur), and a dragon (Dreki) all standing upon a Pahoehoe lava block. I used airplane icons to mark some cities and black/yellow stars to mark the high points of the major glaciers.
