4W visited Green Lane Mosque. We learnt about the history of the mosque. It used to be a public swimming baths and a library. The mosque is now used for the community for daily prayers and provides sporting clubs for children as well as a community food bank. #bgpsPSHE #bgpsRE

1D in RE looked at the five pillars of Islam and focused on the fifth pillar Hajj. Through a story we looked at two rituals of Hajj. Ka'bah the house of Allah and Sa'ee the mountains of Safa and Marwa. We role played this as a class and discussed the two rituals. #bgpsRE

6KA visited The Cathedral Church of Saint Philip, in Birmingham city centre. They learnt about some of the services that are held, a summary of Jesus's life and were able to appreciate the amazing architecture. #bgpsRE

4W’s visit to Green Lane Mosque and community centre.
We visited the mosque to learn about the principles and beliefs of Islam. We had a presentation, took part in a hunt for different objects and parts of the mosque and visited the prayer hall. #bgpsRE
