Despite their prominence, alpacas are not native to Vermont. They are good looking, though #bikevt

The art is courtesy of Billings Farm and Museum. The bike is a 2020 All-City Cosmic Stallion named Crazy Horse. It was just rebuilt by Analog Cycles in Poultney, VT. The old Shimano drivetrain was ripped out and replaced with a SRAM 1x system. Lime green GravelKing tires complete the look #bikeVT

Timeline cleanse! I rode my bike for 25 miles today. I saw rivers and mountains. #bikevt #bikesky

The best part of today's 22 mile ride was the cold brew with a shot of maple syrup at Abracadabra Coffee. #bikeVT

Trust me. It's a road. #bikeVT

Today's feat of strength was a 25 mile bike ride along the Lamoille Valley Rail Trail From West Danville to Hill Farmstead brewery. #bikevt

The fun thing about biking in Vermont in the Spring is you never know when you're easy ride will become an adventure ride.

Today should have been easy peasy chimpanzeeze -- Visit 4 covered bridges along the Ottaquechee, visit Biscuit Hollow, turn around and head home. There was mud. #bikevt

That was fun. And it was cold, and the wind was bullshit, but it was mostly fun. #bikevt

Today's ride was a measured effort split between pavement and dirt with some short climbs for fun. I fell ill on Wednesday's ride, and for two days I feared I would never ride again. I needed to confirm the bike legs still worked.

Also, check the absolute unit of a turtle in the pics #bikevt

Joe Ranger Road takes its name from a local eccentric who lived there in the late 19th to early 20th centuries. He eschewed modern conveniences like automobiles, plumbing, and electricity.

I snagged this vista on my bike ride today, not far from where the road intersects the AT. #bikeVT #bikeSky

Too damn hot for Vermont, today. I biked up one hill (Garvin Hill Rd via Lincoln and Hartland Hill) and biked down that hill. I thought about cremees and cold brew with a shot of maple syrup all the way down. #bikeVT

Despite yesterday's authorization of full force, I've yet to vanquish sinus antifa from my nasal passages. The legs and lungs just weren't there, especially when the road tilted up. I'm in Vermont. That's a problem. I had to reroute after the first checkpoint, a lovely little pond. #bikeVT #bikesky

I took a mostly leisurely ride through Quechee today -- Cruised around Lake Pinneo, rode the trail by Dewey's Pond, and came across this wonderful birdhouse tree #bikeVT

The ongoing drought in Vermont, and last night's rain created spring-like conditions on the back roads, though I wouldn't call what I rode through mud. The consistency was more like wet sand than the gloopy mud season mud we're used to. The scenery was outasight, though. #bikeVT #bikesky

Weird Vermont is alive and well at a small farm on Prosper Road. The property is home to dozens of art installations.

I prefer approaching the Prosper Road summit from Barnard Road and taking an art break during the descent back into town. #bikeVT

No accidental adventures today -- One training climb, up Hillside from Taftsville and one descent down High Pastures and Otis Hill to the river. There were a couple massive ruts at higher elevations, and the dirt roads are still a bit spongy, but it was a pleasant ride. #bikeVT

We've entered the post-Ice Age phase of Spring in Vermont with abundant sunshine and the ice breaking up on the Ottaquechee River. #bikevt

The first 10 miles of my 24 mile ride included an ascent up Brownsville Rd, then the Jenneville-Silver Hill-Bryant Road climb. If I had to do it again, I probably wouldn't have stopped to meet the cows on the way up Silver Hill. I lost all my momentum. They were nice cows, though. #bikeVT #bikeskuy
