Brilliant speech! @audreyt.org once again conveyed wisdom and humanity in one breath. Honoured to be speaking alongside Audrey at the #biocap conference conveying the same sense of human agency and urgency. So appreciated our discussions afterwards!
Europe's real moat is the one thing no hyperscaler can sell: its institutions and its deep commitment to human agency, belonging, care and dignity.

That is what makes us trusted to deploy. That is the translation layer we underwrite when we fund a medtech company.

3D-printed seawall tiles designed to support marine life and reduce wave impact are being tested in Miami. They mimic natural shorelines, and create homes for oysters and other organisms that filter water and improve ecosystems. buff.ly/zkwAtwq

Swirling shapes, shaded grooves

Unlike the flat, lifeless surfaces of typical concrete seawalls, each BIOCAP tile is designed with shaded grooves, crevices and small, water-holding pockets+

The crevices and water-holding spaces in these new walls provide microhabitat for small marine organisms, which can help filter the water and also reduce the impact of waves compared to barren, flat seawalls.
