I’d go a step further and recommend Biotene dry mouth lozenges they are a MIRACLE and have a nice minty flavor.

Gargle with salt water, drink things with electrolytes like Gatorade or drink hot broth, hard candies, gum. They make a spray for dry mouth (Biotene here) that works well if this is longer term

Do you have Biotene in the UK? I highly recommend it for dry mouth. I prefer the spray, I think it is more efficient and lasts longer, but they also have a gel.

Dry mouth can cause problems like that, it;s common with certain illnesses and so many meds. There's Biotene mouthwash which I've used when it gets bad
