i likes spaces on twitter - it was developed just like birdwatch aka community notes & the edit button before elon musk bought twitter & made it into X.
I know a lot of people don't care, and only associate the feature with late stage Twitter, but I am PUMPED for "spaces" on here
The last atproto spaces office hours was a success! Lots of good conversations. We'll be hosting another this Thursday. Come give your thoughts and feedback on the alpha!

My neighbors are moving, we can birdwatch together.

If you want to get into mindful birdwatching, a garden is a great place to start. Take a moment to notice the birds around you and relax!

Between seawatching and the second-largest day in BRC history, we logged 258,504 individual birds across 96 species during the 2026 Euro BirdWatch!!!

i did the birdwatch/community notes thing up to the point i realized the new owner made factchecking pointless

wasn’t getting paid to spend time on something which was no longer relevant

and as for ‘X’, there’s nothing there which is not available here content-wise

Exactly. I can't birdwatch when driving. I can't mosey. I can't relax in the shade of a tree or spot bunnies or take photos. There are so many perks to walking as long as your body permits it and you have a safe place to do so.

E Bonelli’s technically rarer, I think. But yes. Far cry from 2016 (see this month’s Birdwatch). No easterlies forecast either.

I'd travel the world. Grow flowers. Birdwatch. Write poetry. Sing. Cook for strangers. Help those in need. Teach kids revolutionary music. Go swimming.
Everything I'm doing now, except I might be doing it on my own schedule, not someone else's.
And then I'd come home to people who value and love me.

The Anahuac NWR is about 40 miles from me, a beautiful place to birdwatch, & just admire the scenery. Still can't believe the idjits renamed it something like Chenier Wildlife,Chenier is a Cajun name, i.e. French .. really good job. Will always be Anahuac NWR.Pronoun Ana'wack, or A-na-who-ak
