So this summer could have been Cancer Girl Summer but instead I’m claiming it Crop Art Girl Summer. I have two pieces on the wall in crop art. Bottom line: stay on top of routine tests. Especially if you don’t have that particular cancer on your radar.

The Spotted Sandpiper chick foraged between the cracks, all fluff and tiny legs, somehow wearing the rocks as camouflage.

From Birdchick excitedly talking about the 3Bs (birding, bike-riding and blowjobs) to Pablo spending time out in the rain, this is an all-timer and actually made me laugh out loud a few times while watching.

The surprise laughs on this one are up there with the cologne test episode. Well done.

Thankyou, sounds amazing.

I read a good article about the Eagles appearing at a Rookery the other week. This is the same location isn't it? www.birdchick.com/blog/2026/3/...

Exactly! Also the color balance, light refractions on the water, and even how the foliage is growing in the background just isn't at all how and actual shot of a Mountain Bluebird would look.

Like there's no need to slopify it, look at what this lil cutie ACTUALLY looks like:

And in the ongoing saga of "hey, you're the closest thing the village has to vet so....", this little one just brought in.

They're absolutely freezing, probably an accidental nest drop from an hour or more ago, so they're in my incubator to try and get them a bit more toasty.

Maybe quetzal? I’ve tried for them twice and I’ve heard them, but I have not seen them. But I did write up about my spruce grouse when I finally got it in Alaska. www.birdchick.com/blog/2021/9/...

Woody is canonically an ivory billed woodpecker - and serious about his identity - but his creation was inspired by the signature laugh of an acorn woodpecker.

We have a feeder for pileateds, but they'll occasionally try their luck at one of the lbb feeders - and hilarity ensues.
