Vamos ao que de fato importa: hoje no presencial temos brigadeiro, bolo de nozes com dodileite, coxinha/cocrete/bolinha de queijo (que são de ontem, mas, enfim), paçoquinha, biscoi de polvilho, pingo de leite, pé de moça.

Finally! The first almond blossom. On mount Biscoi, Ibi in Spain. It’s unusual, as I don’t see them blooming anywhere else, and the area is quite elevated (950m).

Musk thistle (Carduus nutans) — I had only ever seen it in the dunes near the seaside at Rockanje, in the Netherlands. So I was surprised to find it growing here on the slopes of Mount Biscoï in Spain, at 900 meters altitude.

He weaves long ropes from esparto grass and is happy to explain the technique to me again ( and again).
On Biscoi, there is plenty of esparto grass growing to make ropes that can be used to hold the fajinas in place.
