Hehe, we wanted a name in B (pure bred dogs in France have to respect the year"s letter, 2026 is B, next year is C etc) that was connected to the mountains / outdoors, and Bivouac is easy to yell, and can be abbreviated as Bivvy, Bivou etc. so it works really great for us! Plus: it's funny

Yeah I normally sleep in a katabatic bivvy so I very rarely use one unless I’m using a freestanding tent

Nah, I've been doing walks like that all summer. Bivuoac kit would just slow me down even more, and I can't bivvy just anywhere in conservation zones, anyway.

Strada dell’Assietta, an unsurfaced 18th century military road crossing part of the Cottian Alps. I had already realised tonight will be wild camping but still had an hour to get 500 meters lower to be able to bivvy in the forest, which is somewhat warmer.

Foreskin like a bivvy bag
I found a 50p coin in the change dispenser of a vending machine in the early 90s when I was about 14. I took it but was worried the police would catch me, so I went to the loo and concealed it in my foreskin. The cops didn't stop me and I got home safely with my 50p coin.
