Oh, I might have ONE commission (and for a cool fandom project at that)! Which is basically all I need to get the packing supplies so I can sell off all my BJDs I haven't touched in years. If it all goes well then things are finally looking up :D

okie when doll comms re-open in December, I can only take 2 or 3. that's the realistic maximum I can handle before I go on my trip in February

I do kinda get anti-recast sentiment bc BJDs are often sculpted by indie creators who are getting ripped off by mass produced fakes, but sometimes the level of vitriol feels unwarranted. Some people just don’t know that there ARE fakes.

years ago, everyone i knew was afraid of BJDs, so i envisioned living in a house where i could put dozens of dolls in a single room to be admired. any nosy guest would open the door and be frightened, then perhaps captivated in a way they could not place until a distressing amount of self reflection

aah you could try dyeing it too so less likely to scratch the color 😭😭 but yeah the unfortunate thing about BJDs.. not a lot of companies doing darker skintones because of pigmented resin being harder to work with 😔

Well all of my bjds have nips and zero depth so one might be understandably surprised when a nice doll doesn't have quite as complex a body or body blushing to go with their faceup
