Starting a new faceup!! Using watercolor pencils to figure out the shapes has been really helpful. 🥳

I really love this shoushou bunny face!!

I found some ribbon in my stash of things and think it looks cute for Sumomos sleeve. Still figuring out her pants I'm not used to sewing this tiny

Here's what I'm currently working on. Feeling a bit like making something terribly unhinged lately. I'm making a body for her too in the most complicated way possible. . .

The head of a BJD I’m making! It’s going to be based on a unicorn OC I have as seen by the messy sketch I have in the comparison picture. #bjd #curio413 #curio413oc #unicorn #bjdwip

My guy's a work in progress and this scribble faceup is just temporary for practice but I love him already 🥺

Photo of a ball jointed doll made up to look like Dabi from My Hero Academia in a basic white t-shirt and gray leggings. His burn scars are scribbled on with watercolor pencil except for his wrists, which were left out due to complications with sealing the hand parts. The doll has turquoise glass eyes and a fluffy black fur wig, and is leaning against me, resting a bit. He looks contemplative and moody. Photo of my ball jointed doll version of Dabi, with a direct view of his face and his hands steepled like in that one scene.

My #TomuraShigaraki #BJD work in progress, I don't have any finished pics with his wig on but his faceup is done for now! Might try to lighten the mouth scar a bit later. I'm actually very proud of this! Technically my second "finished" faceup.
All one layer.

My Tomura Shigaraki ball jointed doll without his wig on so the details drawn on his face are visible. Details include wrinkles around his eyes and mouth, a scar on his right eye and the left side of his mouth, and pale blue eyebrows raised in an eager or perhaps quizzical expression. The doll has red eyes and a open mouthed grin with a red-pink colored tongue between his teeth that unfortunately has a small chip in its paint. Background is my basement-slash-crafting-area. A work in progress photo of the same doll as in previous pics, but in this one I am holding the faceplate in my hand and the mouth piece is not inserted, leaving a gaping open mouth where his grin should be, to show that the mouth wrinkles go inside the mouth a little.

Dabi is no longer in Parts Hell for the moment but he still needs a lot of work to nail the look. Not sure about his eye positioning, his expression doesn't seem as good as before I sealed him...

#BJD #DollSky #BJDSky #BJDWIP #Dabi is a #DollZone Jake head on a #Resinsoul body.
Top down view of a white haired, blue eyed ball jointed doll who will eventually be made into Dabi from My Hero Academia. He is glaring ahead and making an obscene gesture with his right hand while his left hand is relaxed at his side. . He is wearing a white long sleeve v-neck t-shirt and gray slacks, as well as some basic brown lace up boots, and does not have his scars painted on yet. The background of this photo shoot is a room with blue carpet and various objects in the background such as an ikea bookshelf and some building blocks. Front view close up of a white haired, blue eyed ball jointed doll who will eventually be made into Dabi from My Hero Academia. He is frowning and reaching towards the viewer with his left hand making a sort of beckoning motion but probably actually wants to make some blue fire with his quirk. Ok so I won the battle with my respirator this time but the wind picked up & tried to steal the MSC spray cloud away and I'm not sure how much adhered to the doll. Might make one more layer after this one dries just in case. Thoughts, #BJD folks? I'm still kind of new at this...
