Update on my little trip up the stairs yesterday, a black eye, a bruised thigh and a bruised ego but otherwise absolutely fine. Thanks all for your concerns and kind words, I live to fight another day (I'm overdoing it now, I'll be quiet).

Even my White friends agree that was mighty White of Haley Stevens and tone deaf for her to step up in a Black church in Detroit full of Black women and tell them to support Mike Rogers, he who supported Trump's policy to purge Black women from their federal jobs. Just because her ego was bruised!

On this day in 1959, an Andy Bathgate slapshot broke Jacques Plante's nose.
Plante returned to the game wearing a mask. While not the first to wear a mask, his choice popuralized it.

I'm not a banana person. AT ALL. That said, I've got a stack of bananas that are functionally fine, but bruised enough that the other house occupant won't eat them. Ideas on what to put them into? They're not black like banana bread bananas, just beat up a bit. Do I just wait until they're mush?

Mia, my teddy, was gotten for me when I was in a deep depression after being on bed rest for my broken knee and leg. In a freak accident my knee pulled apart and then slammed back together. Everything was destroyed, broken and bruised. I am allergic to opiates so finding relief was all mental work.

I spent two days alone on the Lost Coast, on beach and bluff where the trail goes under the tide twice a day. Round one went to me. Round two went to the Lost Coast, by a landslide. I came out bruised and better than before. What’s a round you lost that made you better?
