Blackberries are so dang cute, I would argue they're cuter than strawberries. I have been painting a lot of berries this year, and this illustration was a fieldtest to put @kakimori_japan 's Frost #fountainpen and their Tototo pigment ink through their paces.

Thanks. I bake so many pies and crisps in the fall, but it was the first time I made a glaze with my garden blackberries. Froze so many weeks ago-thought I’d try it. Really good.

Reminder: Today, October 11, is old Michaelmas day. No blackberries should be picked/eaten from today as reportedly this day Lucifer was banished from heaven and spat (or pee-ed depending on version) on them on his way down. And we all know that Lucifer-spat/pee-d-on-blackberries are bad for you!
