I'm talking pot hangers and straps and hinges for doors, boot scrapers, andirons and pokers.

because they made impressive progress in matallurgy and blademaking, stabbings were off the chart tho (jk, but i'd still like to see that statistic as well)

One of my favorite parts of the blademaking process is finishing the handles. I love how much richer they look after proper treatment!

From my own years of blademaking, I can ensure that the actual active forging isn't much more than 25% or less total work involved. Other than that, it's planning, grinding, polishing and furnishing. Plenty of time to cool off ^^
