Mt. Fairweather, Alaska.

This photo was taken from a boat in Glacier Bay National Park. Seeing a peak that exceeds 15,000 feet from sea level was a new and moving experience. We were lucky to see it because true to its name, it is only visible in fair weather. The composition is monochromatic with various tints and shades of blue. The pine forest in the foreground have the darkest value and smaller mountain slopes create a valley to frame the larger mountain, giving it a diamond shape.
