Woke up at 4 am, looked at the clock and thought I might as well get out of bed an do proper Bluffs walk. Guildwood down to the lake then over to East Point Park over to Bluffer's Park then back to Guildwood.

Come on, in Council Bluffs there were a few local offices with only a Republican running unopposed. He cast throwaway votes and used it as one last opportunity to appeal to independent voters. Not a big deal.

Josh Turek, Iowa's Democratic Senate nominee, voted in his hometown of Council Bluffs on Tuesday morning. He said he didn't vote a straight Democratic ticket, though, and instead supported some Republicans in local races. And he quoted Ronald Reagan in making a final pitch for change in a state that President Trump won by 13 points in 2024: "Ask yourself, are you doing better than you were four years ago?" "I've voted for every Republican since I was 18 years old. This year, I voted for every Democrat. If there was one under a rock, Id vote for them today." Kenneth Hessen, 69, who said he was most concerned about health care access. He said the only in-network hospital for him in Council Bluffs, lowa, was at risk of closing because of cuts in President Trump's signature legislation, the "One Big Beautiful Bill."
